12. Gronkowski receives double-digit targets

Prior to the AFC Championship, Rob Gronkowski’s production in the passing game was a bit down, although he certainly made up for it in other areas such as blocking to give the Patriots a better shot of winning.

Throughout his career, Gronkowski has always been one of the most difficult players to cover on offense since his massive size and strength gives him a huge advantage over opponents. And while Gronkowski’s numbers were down towards the end of the regular season along with the Divisional Round, just look at what he was able to accomplish against the Kansas City Chiefs.

Once again, Gronkowski showed he still has plenty of gas left in the old tank after catching six of the 11 passes thrown in his direction for 79 yards, and the Patriots will look for the tight end to display a similar performance when it matters the most against the Rams.

Los Angeles has certainly been playing better as of late on the defensive side of the football, but the unit will have their hands full when facing Gronkowski. No matter how hard the Rams try, Gronkowski will most likely find a way to get the football in his hands on numerous occasions, and could even find the end zone once or twice in the process.
