8. White catches 10+ passes

There aren’t many running backs in the league who are actually more valuable as a receiver, but that’s exactly the case with James White on the Patriots when taking a closer look at his numbers.

White’s impressive 15-catch outing against the Los Angeles Chargers in the Divisional Round without a single carry shows just how valuable of a weapon he can be for New England on offense. And while the Rams have stepped up their game as of late when it comes to stopping the run, the NFC Championship is the perfect example of why White could be in for a strong performance in the Super Bowl.

Despite taking the rushing game away from Alvin Kamara, the New Orleans Saints star running back was still effective in the passing game by hauling in 11 catches. Even if Drew Brees deserves some credit for the impressive passes made, Kamara still showed that Los Angeles can struggle to keep the football out of running back’s hands through the air.

Tom Brady has never been shy about leaning on his beloved running back in White whenever needed, and to get the offense going in the Super Bowl, the team’s opening drive could see a few passes thrown in his direction.
