Super Bowl 53: 20 Bold predictions for Patriots vs. Rams
By Dan Parzych
5. Gurley records 150+ scrimmage yards
Redemption will be on the mind of Todd Gurley when the Rams kick off the Super Bowl against the Patriots on Sunday to prove right away that what took place in the NFC Championship was just a one-time thing, and there’s no reason for concern.
Despite dealing with a knee injury towards the end of the regular season, Sean McVay made it clear this wasn’t the reason behind Gurley’s rough outing in the NFC Championship, and if there’s anyone capable of bouncing back in a meaningful game, it’s him.
Let’s not forget that it was only the 2016 season in which Gurley received a ton of criticism for failing to record a single 100-yard rushing game when it wasn’t even his fault since Los Angeles didn’t do the best job of providing him with a reliable offensive line.
By showing he can bounce back from a season like that to finish second in the MVP race to Tom Brady the following year, Gurley should be just fine when it comes to turning things around in the Super Bowl.
Whether it happens to be on the ground or through the air, Gurely will find a way to get his numbers against the Patriots, and prove there are no reasons for concern.
