17. Dorsett extends touchdown streak

One of the most exciting parts about this time of year is watching unexpected players emerge out of nowhere to make a serious impact, which Phillip Dorsett has done in recent weeks.

Playing in an offense where Julian Edelman and Rob Gronkowski trend to receive most of the attention, Dorsett has found a way to put together a surprise touchdown streak heading into the Super Bowl with trips into the end zone in each of his last three games.

For a player who only caught 32 passes during the regular season, this has been quite the surprise accomplishment for Dorsett along with a much-needed confidence boost since the wideout hasn’t exactly live up to the hype.

The Indianapolis Colts quickly gave up on Dorsett last season after originally using a first rounder on the wideout back in 2015, and while this seemed disappointing for him at the time, it has all worked out in New England.

Dorsett may not put up the numbers one would expect from a former first-round pick, but one of the reasons why the Patriots love him so much is due to the fact that he can find ways to make an impact at any given moment, meaning the Rams better be alert.
