13. Anderson rushes for two scores

Thank goodness the Rams made the decision back in December to bring C.J. Anderson on board as an insurance policy to Todd Gurley, or there’s a good chance that Los Angeles would be watching the Super Bowl from home this weekend.

At the time of the signing, some Rams fans were upset over the decision by the team to bring Anderson on since they didn’t think he was going to be a reliable option. Turns out, Anderson and his fresh legs ended up making a serious impact on offense for Los Angeles after watching the veteran go three games in a row rushing for 100+ yards along with leading the offense in the ground game during the NFC Championship.

Even if Gurley receives a majority of the carries to wear down the defense of the Patriots, Sean McVay knows that Anderson is simply too good not to use, and will figure out a way to make sure he gets his carries.

With his size and ability to plow through defenders, Anderson has proven on numerous occasions to be quite tough to tackle. So while New England will be focusing most of their game plan on keeping Gurley in check, they better not sleep on Anderson, especially when Los Angeles is inside the red zone.
