Round 3, Pick 30: Michael Jordan, OG/C, Ohio State

The interior of the Jets offensive line graded out, according to Pro Football Focus (subscription required), at an average of 54.56, which puts them below the league average. Brian Winters graded the highest, Spencer Long the lowest. With that being said, the Jets are in need for a major upgrade along the interior of their offensive line.

Choosing to forego his senior season and enter the NFL Draft, Michael Jordan would give the Jets versatility along the offensive line as he has played both guard and center at Ohio State. During his three seasons with the Buckeyes, he was named first team All-Big Ten by the coach’s poll in 2017 as a guard and as an All-American by Sports Illustrated and CSB Sports in 2018 as a center.

He has blocked for 1,000 yard rushers Mike Weber, and for All-Big Ten quarterbacks J.T. Barrett and Dwayne Haskins as well.

Listed at 6-7 and 312 pounds, Jordan has the size necessary to play in the league and would come in as a plug-and-play right away for the Jets and if New York is able to nab him at the end of the third round, where he has potential to fall to, it would be a great find for Mike Maccagnan.
