Super Bowl 53 between the New England Patriots and Los Angeles Rams will be broadcast on CBS, with Tony Romo and Jim Nantz on the call.
The 2018-19 NFL season was seen on a variety of networks. FOX, NBC, CBS, ESPN and NFL Network each did a fantastic job of covering all 256 regular season games. But only one network can have the pleasure of calling Super Bowl 53 between the New England Patriots and Los Angeles Rams. So which channel is it on?
The big game will be broadcast on CBS, with Tony Romo and Jim Nantz on the call in the booth, and Tracy Wolfson as the sideline reporter. Super Bowl 53 is set to officially kick off at 6:30 p.m. ET. Fans can also catch the game via streaming from the CBS Sports website, or by downloading the CBS Sports app on any connected device.
Fans from all over will be able to see Romo call the big game for the first time, just one year after he took over as CBS’ flagship color commentator. Many have praised Romo for his ability to predict plays before they happen, and Super Bowl 53 should be no different. Of course, we all remember Romo for his time as the Dallas Cowboys’ quarterback. It seems the public opinion on him has swayed quite a bit.
Nantz, on the other hand, has called many Super Bowls in his long, illustrious broadcasting career. Nantz took over as CBS’ head play-by-play man in 2004. He joined CBS in 1985, working his way up through the chain of command to where he is now. Nantz has won National Sportscaster of the Year five times.
Super Bowl 53 will be played at Mercedes Benz Stadium in Atlanta, Georgia. The new stadium is set to play host to one of the best Super Bowls yet, especially with two high-flying offenses in the Los Angeles Rams and New England Patriots. Will you be one of the millions watching the big game?
