NFL Power Rankings: Way too early look at 2019 season after Patriots win Super Bowl 53
By Dan Parzych
Here’s a way too early look at NFL Power Rankings for the 2019 season after the New England Patriots defeated the Los Angeles Rams in Super Bowl 53.
Now that the New England Patriots are officially Super Bowl 53 champions following their non-exciting 13-3 win over the Los Angeles Rams, it only seems fair to look ahead the early NFL Power Rankings for the 2019 season.
In what shouldn’t come as a surprise one bit, the Patriots have proven once again they deserves to be one of the early favorites to make another run at the Super Bowl heading into next season since this team doesn’t appear to be slowing down anytime soon.
At one point towards the end of the regular season, there were some concerns surrounding New England’s ability to earn a trip to the Super Bowl this year since they just didn’t seem as much of a threat as previous seasons.
Turns out, all of that doubt just added fuel to the fire of motivation by the Patriots to make their Super Bowl dreams become a reality after watching them handle the Rams the way they did.
Between the defense preventing Los Angeles from scoring a single touchdown to Julian Edelman catching 10 passes for 141 yards to help the wideout take home MVP honors, it’s no wonder New England was able to earn a sixth Super Bowl title to add another chapter to the history books.
Only time will tell when it comes to seeing if this Patriots team has what it takes to win another Super Bowl next season, but how can anyone doubt their chances at this point after all of their accomplishments from this past season?
While New England starting off as No. 1 seems like an obvious choice given their recent Super Bowl win, it’s time to take a look at where the other teams currently stand in way too early NFL Power Rankings heading into the 2019 season.
