Ndamukong Suh, DT, Los Angeles Rams

Despite losing a ton of talent along the defensive line last offseason, the Seahawks managed to maintain their exceptional pass rush in 2018. The presence of breakout star Jarran Reed helped, but that doesn’t mean they should be done building up the interior of their front four.

Adding a capable complement next to Reed would be an ideal next step. Although signing Ndamukong Suh would be a costly endeavor, it’s one the Seahawks should at least consider.

Although his days as a human wrecking ball at defensive tackle are nearing an end, Suh still knows how to make his presence felt on Sundays. Even alongside Aaron Donald, he routinely stood out in 2018, racking up 4.5 sacks, putting plenty of pressure on opposing quarterbacks and occasionally making a splash play against the run.

With that said, there are better positions to spend the money that would go towards Suh. The Seahawks have a need at cornerback, but this is an extremely weak free agency class for the position. Tight end is also a need, but there also aren’t many impact options there either. Hence, Suh found his way onto this list.

Seattle could move forward with players like Shamar Stephen and Poona Ford manning the spot next to Reed. It wouldn’t be the worst thing in the world. Then again, if the Seahawks could convince him to sign a reasonably priced contract, Suh would be a significant upgrade.
