Ndamukong Suh, Los Angeles Rams

Suh played great against the New Orleans Saints in the Conference Championship. He didn’t have the same impact in the Super Bowl. Suh made just two combined tackles and recorded one quarterback hit. That’s not what the Rams are paying him for. The team expected better, they needed better from the three-time First Team All-Pro.

The Rams paid Suh $14 million on a one-year contract. During the regular season, Suh produced mixed results, finishing with 59 combined tackles and 4.5 sacks. That kind of production probably isn’t worth the huge price tag it came with.

While Suh looked like he was getting hot in the Conference Championship, he clearly cooled off during the two-week break between the games. He finished the Super Bowl with measly stats and failed to make the impact the Rams signed him for.

Of course, it wasn’t just Suh though. Donald and Dante Fowler Jr. also failed to bring down Brady. Fowler did record two tackles for loss, which is the only reason he’s not on this list. We’ve seen time and time again that the only way to beat Brady is to put him on his back. Von Miller could tell you that. The Rams had to know what they needed to do defensively, and they just weren’t able to get near Brady enough.

With his sixth Super Bowl victory, Brady has more than cemented his position as the greatest quarterback of all-time. I don’t think there’s even an argument for Joe Montana or Peyton Manning anymore. With the win, Brady has surpassed Jerry Rice as the greatest player of all-time in my mind. Brady and Belichick are entering a zone where they may be more than just legends at this point. For the sake of the 31 other teams in the NFL though, let’s hope this is New England’s last Super Bowl for a long time.
