With the Super Bowl now played, the 2018 NFL Season is officially over. Here, we try and help the Dallas Cowboys build their team towards contention with this 7-round mock draft.

This coming season looks to be a rather important one for many members of the Dallas Cowboys. Players such as quarterback Dak Prescott, running back Ezekiel Elliott, and wide receiver Amari Cooper will all be trying to earn new contracts — not to mention defensive end DeMarcus Lawrence who is already set for free agency this offseason.

Not only are these young men looking for new contracts, but so too is the head coach. After Jerry Jones said Jason Garrett would be getting extended, his son — Stephen Jones — has come out to say the opposite. And that’s what remains true as reports have surfaced that Garrett will indeed be coaching in 2019 on the final year of his deal.

That’s the right move as Garrett has been a good coach, but he hasn’t been great. And he also hasn’t taken the team past the divisional round of the playoffs despite being the coach of the team since the second half of the 2010 season.

Garrett is also putting his trust in an incredibly young offensive coordinator as he recently fired Scott Linehan and promoted Kellen Moore from quarterbacks coach. The 29-year old Moore is regarded as a great football mind, but that’s a lot of responsibility for a young man with just one season of coaching under his belt — and quite a gamble by Garrett who needs a big season to keep his job.

With all that being said, the Cowboys can do themselves a world of favors by bringing in more talent to help the coaching staff that’s fighting to stick around. Here, we predict what they will do with the upcoming draft as they try to bring an infusion of youth to a few positions of need with this 2019 NFL Mock Draft.
