Cincinnati Bengals: Ryan Tannehill

Following another less than healthy season out of Ryan Tannehill, it has been reported that the Miami Dolphins will move on from the Texas A&M alum and release him. NFL insider Benjamin Allbright tweeted that there may be smoke to Tannehill-to-Cincinnati.

What would be a shocking move as it would be a lateral move at best for the Bengals as Tannehill has only played a total of 24 games in the past three seasons. In that span, Andy Dalton has outperformed him on the gridiron. Both playing in only 11 games in 2018, Tannehill threw for about 600 less yards and four fewer scores than Dalton did.

As Sean McVay associate Zac Taylor appears ready to take over this Bengals team that finished last in the AFC North, maybe, just maybe he can get the best out of the soon-to-be 31-year old signal caller, but up to this point Tannehill has not given NFL fans much to remain hopeful about, or even any optimism that he can remain healthy.

Tannehill enters a make-or-break situation in 2019 that could be his finally opportunity to prove that he belongs in the NFL as a starting quarterback. Where there is smoke there is fire, and right now the smoke is signaling that Tannehill could be under center for the Bengals in 2019.
