New York Giants: Eli Manning

That’s correct, expect Eli Manning back with the New York Giants for his 16th season. Not many think that there is a quarterback in this rookie class that can start right away, and although the Giants will most likely draft one early, Dwayne Haskins seems probable, they will probably opt not to throw him to the wolves right away and send out a veteran signal-caller for a year.

If the Giants do not want to start a rookie right away, then it would make more sense to stick with Manning rather than cut bait and just to bring in another bridge quarterback. Look on the bright side Giants fans, Manning put together his best season over the past few years in 2018 and if the talent around him can stay healthy, you could probably expect similar production in 2019.

Throwing for about 4,000 yards, 26 touchdowns, while completing 63 percent in 2019, Manning clearly capitalized on the talent placed around him including AP and Pepsi Rookie of the Year Saquon Barkley, a healthy Odell Beckham Jr. and ultra-athletic tight end Evan Engram.

Do not expect the G-Men to move on from the soon-to-be 38 year old Manning this offseason and look for him to be taking snaps Week 1 in 2019.
