Miami Dolphins: Nick Foles

As previously mentioned, Miami is likely to move on from Tannehill, their quarterback since 2012, and will be in the market for a new signal-caller in 2019. In a weak quarterback class, Miami could surprise the league and trade up for their guy, but most likely will stay put. This means that at least a bridge quarterback will be needed for their 2019 campaign.

The Philadelphia Eagles are expected to pick up Nick Foles’ $20 million option for the 2019 season and then pursue a trade of the Super Bowl MVP quarterback. Who better to chase after him than the first-year head coach Brian Flores who saw Foles shred his New England defense just one year ago in the championship game?

For a quarterback who once thought that his career was over, Foles has instead filled in for Carson Wentz for a total of eight starts and two postseason runs as the Eagles backup quarterback and has parlayed himself into a chance to once again become a fulltime starter.

In addition to winning Super Bowl MVP, Foles has thrown 12 touchdowns and six interceptions and tallied a total of about 2000 yards in his eight regular season starts over the past two seasons. Any team would be happy with a quarterback throwing for 4,000 yards and 24 touchdowns in their uniform, and Foles will once again get the opportunity to prove that he can be a starter in this league as he is only about to turn 30 years old. According to the Brady and Brees career trajectory, he could have 10 more years in him.
