Add any and all quarterbacks they can

Draft one, sign one — heck, do both — but get a Blake Bortles replacement. The Jaguars were among the Super Bowl favorites going into 2018, with Bortles leading their team. After leading them to the playoffs during the 2017-18 season, they decided to roll with him again despite the concerns. This badly bit the Jaguars in the butt as Bortles was one of the worst quarterbacks of the 2018 season.

Tyrod Taylor and Teddy Bridgewater will be the top names to watch in free agency. While neither are considered franchise quarterbacks, both would be upgrades over Blake Bortles. The Jaguars would be smart to pursue one to use as a bridge for a rookie quarterback. Taylor brings playoff experience that could help in mentoring a young quarterback. Bridgewater appears to be back to full health, his upside and dual threat ability would fit nicely in Jacksonville.

Just because the Jaguars sign a veteran, doesn’t mean they shouldn’t draft one too.

With a playoff caliber defense, a good offensive line and Leonard Fournette, the Jaguars are still a quarterback away from getting back into the playoff conversation. The Jaguars, who hold the seventh overall pick in the draft, almost certainly have a quarterback atop their board.

Dwayne Haskins, Kyler Murray and Drew Lock remain the top quarterbacks of this class. With just the Giants needing a quarterback amidst the teams that pick before them (assuming no one trades up), it is safe to assume the Jaguars should have their shot at one of the guys listed above.

Murray possesses the most upside of all the quarterbacks in this class. He comes with red flags, but the Heisman Trophy winner’s talent is undeniable. Haskins is the most pro ready of the group, and Lock’s upside can not go unnoticed. No matter how good or bad this quarterback class may be, the Jaguars have to select a quarterback and hope he can get them back to the playoffs while they still have a playoff roster.
