As the season has come to an end and the offseason has officially begun, who are realistic free agents for the New York Jets to target?

After a season where many expected a rebuild, the New York Jets performed to those expectations to the tune of a 4-12 season that saw Todd Bowles and his staff get ushered through the exit after his fourth season as the team’s head coach.

Both sides of the ball will be looking for an upgrade as the Jets’ offense scored the 23rd most points in the league, while surrendering the 29th most points.

With the biggest holes on the roster at the interior of the offensive line, cornerback, wide receiver and pass rusher, the gang green have about $105 million in cap space to play with. If the Jets want to get back into playoff contention and compete for an AFC East title, the team is going to have to spend money while future franchise quarterback Sam Darnold is still on his rookie contract.

With the additions of rookie Trumaine Johnson, Isaiah Crowell and Morris Claiborne during the 2018 offseason, the team will be looking to bring even more overall quality talent to New York this year as well. As there are a number of quality players set to hit the market this offseason, who fits the mold that the Jets have constructed for their future?
