CB Bradley Roby

A former first-round pick in the 2014 draft, Roby came off of his first year as a starting cornerback for the Denver Broncos after the trade of Aqib Talib. While starting 15 games, Roby managed only one interception and 12 passes defended, low production for a player who, in 12 prior starts, tallied six picks leading up to this season.

Granted he still saw significant playing time leading up to this year, Roby himself is probably disappointed in his production, considering he was in the last year of his rookie deal. After grading out at only an average score according to Pro Football Focus (subscription required). Now set to hit the open market, a team in need of an upgrade at the cornerback position may find themselves getting a bargain in the 26-year old Roby.

The 49ers enter the offseason with $60 million in cap space, the seventh most capital in the league and in desperate need of a battle-tested corner across of Richard Sherman after a disappointing season from second-year corner Ahkello Witherspoon.

Although the Broncos could retain his services due to the aging of Chris Harris, the Niners could land Roby on a one or two year deal, which would allow him to prove his worth and improve his stock, for anywhere between $7-10 million annually.
