Seattle Seahawks: 7-Round 2019 mock draft in early February
By Cory Kinnan
After a playoff appearance in 2018, the Seattle Seahawks enter the 2019 NFL Draft process with just four picks, but what can they do with those selections?
The Seattle Seahawks surprised just about everyone except those within the building by putting together a 10-6 season and grabbing a wild card spot before losing to the Dallas Cowboys in the first round of the playoffs. Still rather impressive considering the fielded one of the worst offensive lines in the league and the legion of boom dissolved.
Richard Sherman signed with San Francisco, Kam Chancellor announced his retirement and Earl Thomas suffered his displeasure with and then suffered a season-ending injury. Given the circumstances, entering what looked like a rebuilding year, the Seahawks are happy to be sitting in the seats that they are in.
With a major need along the offensive line and other needs at cornerback, outside linebacker, and along the defensive front, the team must use their picks sparingly as they only have four picks. With selections in the first, third, fourth and fifth rounds, the team still has the ability to get great value at needed positions.
Luckily for the Seahawks, there are a lot of quality offensive and defensive lineman prospects as well as in the secondary, so although their ammunition is limited entering the draft, a good haul of players will still make their way to Seattle. Just after the Super Bowl and before the Combine, here is mock draft 1.0 for the 12th man.
