3. New York Jets: Josh Allen, EDGE, Kentucky

Where some would have said Bosa lacks production in college, Josh Allen’s numbers jump off the charts after he added to an excellent junior year with a monster senior performance. Coming off of a season with seven sacks, 10.5 tackles for loss and two forced fumbles, Allen decided to go back to Kentucky for his senior season in order to attempt to improve his draft stock — and did he ever.

Winning a total of five awards, including 2018 SEC Defensive Player of the Year over Quinnen Williams (the top overall pick in this NFL Mock Draft), Allen more than doubled his production from his junior season in Lexington, finishing with 17 sacks, 21.5 tackles for loss and five forced fumbles.

Allen would come to New York and contribute immediately for the Gang Green, whose leading sack artist in 2018 tallied only seven sacks. With Jordan Jenkins flashing promise for the team this past season, adding an elite prospect like Allen across from him should only make them both better.

For a team that nabbed their future franchise quarterback, Sam Darnold, in last year’s draft and that has the potential to add an elite pass rusher this year, the arrow is facing in the right direction for the Jets. Drafting Allen would give them a large step in that direction.
