Keaton Sutherland, Texas A&M (6-5, 315 pounds)

Keaton Sutherland has the size and strength to be an effective lineman in the NFL. He needed some cleaning in his technique and, as he practiced at the East-West Shrine Game, he showed the improvement he needed to show.

He impressed as he not only blocked his defender he also had the awareness to pick up a defender who went past the right tackle. He also has good feet, helping him to move and do that.

Sutherland is another player who gives the Bears flexibility. He played on the left as well the right, and he played both tackle and guard. He has the strength to open holes and the quickness to mirror the defender and move him away from his quarterback.

Under Sutherland and other linemen, the Aggies’ offense ranked 15th in the nation in yards per game (fourth in the SEC) and helped running back Trayveon Williams rush for 1,760 yards, best in the SEC and a school record.

Sutherland helped his stock in the East-West Shrine Game. He was projected to go in the late rounds but is moving up. He could be a good pick in the fourth or fifth round for the Bears.
