With the news surrounding the Denver Broncos agreeing to acquire Joe Flacco from the Baltimore Ravens, here are five teams that should consider a trade for Case Keenum.

Normally, this time of year is pretty quiet in the NFL, as teams prepare for the upcoming free agency period along with the draft, but it looks like the Denver Broncos decided to bring some excitement to the table by agreeing to trade for Joe Flacco, which is bad news for Case Keenum.

After going through all sorts of struggles in the previous two years while trying to find a reliable replacement to Peyton Manning at quarterback, the Broncos finally felt confident that Keenum, who signed a hefty two-year, $36 million deal last offseason, would be the answer.

Turns out, Denver only needed one season before deciding that Keenum wasn’t the right answer they were looking for, otherwise it would be pointless to officially bring Flacco on board in March once the new league year gets underway.

Of course, just because the Broncos weren’t satisfied with Keenum as their quarterback doesn’t necessarily mean the veteran can’t be a good fit on another team, as Denver is expected to shop the quarterback in the next couple of weeks.

Denver knows getting rid of Keenum won’t exactly be a smooth process since that contract is quite hefty as mentioned before, but these situations happen all the time in the NFL, meaning it seems like only a matter of time before he does in fact have a new home for the 2019 season.
