Oakland Raiders: 5 Moves to improve in 2019 offseason
By Cory Kinnan
Trade up in the draft, Land Nick Bosa
We all know that finding a great pass rusher is hard to do, and the Raiders have the assets to make sure they lock up the best edge rusher in the 2019 draft class. With three first-round picks this season and an extra first and second rounder next year, if the Raiders want to move up a few spots, they could make the best offer of any team and select Nick Bosa out of Ohio State at the top of the draft.
Gruden and company should not hesitate to pull the trigger as the team tallied only 13.5 total sacks in the entire 2018 season, just one more Mack had himself in just 13 games. While there is still a need further than Bosa, nabbing him would be a great start to the solution. In a class filled with great pass-rushing talent off of the edge, the Ohio State product seemingly stands head and shoulders above the rest of the class.
It will be interesting to see how Bosa performs at the Combine later this month after playing only three games in 2018 for the Buckeyes, but if he shows that he is fully recovered and jumps back to the best in the class, the Raiders need to package some picks earned in the Mack and Amari Cooper trades in order to snag him and make him an Oakland Raider.
