3. Tyler Kroft

A third-round pick in 2015 out of Rutgers, Tyler Kroft’s progression as an option in the Cincinnati Bengals offense took a hit in 2018. After filling in for Tyler Eifert in 2017, Kroft had career-high numbers as he put up 404 yards and seven touchdowns off 42 receptions.

With Eifert again missing the majority of the season, Kroft could have continued to be the main option at their position. That didn’t happen though as he also dealt with health concerns.

The fourth-year pro had a foot injury that sidelined him after just five games. Although the team hoped for him to get back to the field, Kroft never returned to full health and was placed on the injured reserve. That left him with just 36 yards off four receptions.

For Kroft, that could hurt his chances of landing a big contract in free agency. Had he put up another decent season as he did in 2017, he could demand a pretty hefty deal, but thanks to the injury he could be out there looking for a one-year prove-it deal.

Should that be the case, Dallas would be wise to give him a place to prove he deserves a big contract — whether that be in Big D or elsewhere.
