1. Tyler Eifert

The final player we look at is one who comes with plenty of risk in Tyler Eifert. The second Cincinnati Bengals player on this list, Eifert has had some of the worst injury luck in the NFL during his six-year career.

Drafted No. 21 overall out of Notre Dame back in 2013, Eifert was heralded as the next big thing at tight end. The 6-foot-6, 255-pound Eifert ran routes and caught the ball like a tight end but still offered more than enough as a blocker.

Unfortunately, he never was able to reach his full potential as he quickly started to struggle to stay on the field. His sophomore campaign with Cincy ended after he dislocated his elbow in Week 1. He bounced back in 2015 with a great season that ended with him scoring 13 touchdowns.

Expected to continue his production, Eifert played just eight games in 2016 as a back injury limited his season. His back continued to cause problems the following season as he made just two appearances and caught four passes.

The limited time hurt his stock in free agency last year as he ended up signing just a one-year deal to stay with the Bengals. Nothing changed, however, as Eifert had only 15 receptions in four games before a broken ankle ended another season early.

Again set for free agency, Eifert will likely look for one more short-term deal to try and prove he can stay healthy. Dallas should, at the very least, kick the tires on Eifert. There’s definitely some risk involved considering his injuries, but that could also lead to him signing a deal for less than his talent warrants.
