33. Arizona Cardinals: Cody Ford, OT, Oklahoma

The Cardinals seem intent on making it work with Josh Rosen and Kliff Kingsbury is the type of coach who can get the most out of him. Something else that would help would be an improved offensive line. That leads to them selecting Oklahoma’s Cody Ford with the first pick in the second round. Ford was outstanding in 2018 and climbed up many boards because of it. He just misses Round 1, but finds a soft landing spot here.

34. Indianapolis Colts (via N.Y. Jets): Amani Oruwariye, CB, Penn State

The Indianapolis Colts have done a great job of turning their team around quickly and the New York Jets are a team to thank. The Colts have another pick here courtesy of the Jets, after already having two second-round picks courtesy of Gang Green in the 2018 draft. This time, they add Amani Oruwariye, the Penn State corner who can help their pass defense improve.

35. Oakland Raiders: Kris Boyd, CB, Texas

Jon Gruden continues his rebuild by adding Texas cornerback Kris Boyd, who has the making of a shut down corner. He has the size and physicality to go toe-to-toe with the best receivers in the game and joins a team that needs plenty of help when it comes to slowing down opposing teams.

36. San Francisco 49ers: Riley Ridley, WR, Georgia

Jimmy Garoppolo should be back to full health after a torn ACL suffered in 2018, but he will need some help. The 49ers still don’t have a great receiving corps so they add Riley Ridley out of Georgia as they attempt to shore up that problem. Ridley is still a work in progress, but runs great routes and showed great ability as a red zone receiver.
