Jay Ajayi

Next is a former AFC East rival, Jay Ajayi who was traded to the Philadelphia Eagles and became a Super Bowl Champion during the 2017 season. After an injury riddled 2018, Ajayi is set to hit the open market once free agency opens in March at a young age of 25.

The problem that is presented when talking with Ajayi is that in his four seasons, he has only played one full healthy year. He has started only 11 games over the past two seasons, and played in only four total games for the Eagles last year. However, in his one full and healthy season, Ajayi rushed for nearly 1,300 yards and eight touchdowns as a member of the Dolphins.

With the Eagles in a severe cap crisis and set to let a handful of significant contributors walk this offseason, Ajayi will be one of those players. His market and price tag is a hard one to predict as he has been productive, but also extremely injury prone.

Pulling a number out of a hat, Ajayi may demand around $5-6.5 million per year and is more than likely going to sign a one-year “prove it” deal for the next team that requests his services.
