Le’Veon Bell

Last but not least, the Bell(e) of the Ball. While it has been reported that the Jets are not willing to, “break the bank,” for Le’Veon, with $105 million in cap space and a quarterback on a rookie deal, why the heck not seriously consider it? The 27-year old is set to hit the open market after sitting out the entire 2018 season, refusing to sign his franchise tender given to him by the Pittsburgh Steelers.

It is safe to say that Bell’s time in Pittsburgh is over and the all-pro running back is set to demand his $15 million annually from another NFL team. The Colts, Raiders, and Dolphins have been rumored to be aboard the Bell train, and the Jets can outbid them all except Indianapolis who already have three young running backs on their roster.

It does not seem like Bell will settle for anything less than what Todd Gurley got before the 2018 season at $15 million annually. He also wants a long term deal. The asking price of Bell is high, but you’d have to think that one team would be willing to give a guy with nearly 8,000 total yards and 42 touchdowns in five seasons.
