Round 6, Pick 16: Sheldrick Redwine, CB, Miami

Starting in round six, the Browns are going to be selecting for depth, especially in the secondary. Denzel Ward, Jabrill Peppers, and Damarious Randall are all great players, but both Ward and Randall have had some injury concerns in the past. It might be best for the Browns to look for good depth pieces for the back end of the defense.

Redwine offers good size for a cornerback, at 6-1 and 195 pounds. In 2018, his three sacks and three interceptions put him on the map as a possible late round NFL pick. He will likely serve as depth for any team that drafts him, and the Browns might find more use for him as a special teams defender as well.

Round 7, Pick 7: Darius West, S, Kentucky

A Lima, Ohio native, Darius West was a tackling machine in his last year at Kentucky. Racking up 86 total tackles, along with three interceptions and six passes defensed, West showed that he had the ability to play in the NFL, at least as a backup.

At 6-0 and 200 pounds, West is a bit light for a modern, hard-hitting NFL safety, but he still has the skillset to be a backup in place of Damarious Randall. The Browns are going for best player available, and West might be one of the best prospects left in the seventh round.

Round 7, Pick 29: Wes Hills, RB, Slippery Rock

Finally, we come to Wes Hills, a 6-2, 218-pound running back from Slippery Rock University. Coming from a small school, Hills set the school rushing record in 2018, with 1,714 yards in a single season. Hills received a Senior Bowl selection in 2018, and was named the MVP of the NFLPA Collegiate Bowl.

The big question here is whether or not Hills is an upgrade from Dontrell Hilliard on the depth chart. If the Browns can develop Hills into a third back in a three-headed monster, he will absolutely be worth the pick in the seventh round.
