Dallas Cowboys: Pre-Combine 7-round 2019 mock draft
By Randy Gurzi
Round 5, No. 155 overall: Colton Jackson, OT, Arkansas
Throughout the past two seasons, the Cowboys have had problems with health on the offensive line. Center Travis Frederick missed all of 2018 while guards Connor Williams and Zack Martin, as well as left tackle Tyron Smith, also missed time. Smith was also out for three games in 2016 and 2017 which led to them making a free agent investment in Cameron Fleming.

The former New England Patriots backup proved to be a better option than Chaz Green was in the previous campaign, but he’s again a free agent and the Cowboys need to add more depth — whether or not he returns.
With that goal in mind, they add Arkansas tackle Colton Jackson. The former Razorback is a little on the lighter side, but so too was Williams who Dallas drafted out of Texas in the second round of the 2018 NFL Draft. What will really draw the attention of the Boys coaching staff is Jackson’s athleticism and ability to get out in space as a run blocker.
He may not be ready to be a swing tackle right away, meaning they need to try and retain Fleming or find another veteran in free agency, but there is a chance he could develop into a player with starting capabilities.
