Here are three reasons the Indianapolis Colts should pursue Le’Veon Bell since the running back will be available in free agency.
To say the Pittsburgh Steelers have kept themselves busy this week would be a huge understatement when considering one day after the news surrounding Antonio Brown most likely being on the move through a trade, it looks like Le’Veon Bell will be doing the same.
Of course, unlike Brown, Bell seems like he will have a say when it comes to which team he gets to play for during the 2019 season after the Steelers announced on Wednesday they wouldn’t be using any sort of tag on the running back this time around, meaning Bell will become a free agent.
Right away, some teams will take a cautious approach before jumping the gun on signing Bell since the last two years have made it clear that he’s looking to get paid with quite a hefty new deal, especially after Todd Gurley’s record-setting deal last season.
Only time will tell when it comes to seeing which teams end up expressing interest in bringing Bell on board, but if the Indianapolis Colts were smart, they would waste little time in considering the possibility if this move happening.
For months, the Colts have been viewed as a potential landing spot for the running back, and after Frank Reich helped this team overcome all obstacles last season following a rough start before earning a trip to the playoffs, Bell seems like an even better fit in Indianapolis.
From now until the start of free agency, there will be plenty of speculation in regards to where Bell could end up for the 2019 season, but for the sake of the Colts, here are three reasons to support the two parties being a good fit.
