After not playing in 2018, the talented running back is expected to move on from the Pittsburgh Steelers and find a new team as a free-agent this offseason.

For the first time in over a year, Le’Veon Bell will return to the football field in 2019. What NFL team’s uniform Bell will be wearing when he makes his return is something that remains to be seen.

Last season, the running back opted to sit out every game in an effort to get a new long-term contract from the Pittsburgh Steelers. The Steelers never budged and now Bell is set to become a free-agent this year after Pittsburgh recently revealed that they will not be using the franchise or transition tag on the running back for 2019.

Bell should have a lot of options to choose from this offseason. Given that he is only 27 years old, he is a two-time All-Pro and that he’s had an entire year for his body to rest, a number of teams are likely going to be interested in signing the free-agent running back.

It might even end up turning into a bidding war to land Bell this offseason and there are only a handful of teams around the league that can even afford to do something like this. The former Steelers running back will likely be looking for a contract similar to the $60 million deal Todd Gurley signed last July with the Los Angeles Rams.

There are some obvious destinations that continue to come up as possible landing spots for Bell including the New York Jets, Indianapolis Colts, Oakland Raiders, and San Francisco 49ers. These four squads all seem logical based on their anticipated 2019 salary cap space and their current situations at the running back position.

But there’s also a possibility that an unsuspected team could fly under the radar this year and convince Bell to sign with them instead. Which four NFL teams fit the description as a dark horse candidate to land the talented running back’s services this offseason?
