Round 4, Pick 4: Elijah Holyfield, RB, Georgia

The Raiders enter this offseason with all three of their major contributors as free agents; while Jalen Richard is restricted and is likely to return to the Bay Area, both Marshawn Lynch and Doug Martin are unrestricted. With Lynch being over the age of 30, it would not be advisable to bring him back. And while Martin is younger, if he does re-sign with the Raiders, it would be a massive failure if he and Richard were the bulk of their running back room.

Enter Elijah Holyfield, whose stock is on the rise and being talked a lot about by NFL Draft experts. In his first full season as part of the two-headed running back tandem for the Georgia Bulldogs, patiently sitting behind Nick Chubb and Sony Michel, Holyfield did not disappoint and could become the next Bulldog running back to perform at the next level with Chubb, Michel and Todd Gurley.

Again, it would be a massive failure by John Gruden and Mike Mayock to roll out Doug Martin as their feature back with Jalen Richard as their third down back. Martin has been inconsistent and undependable throughout his career, so the Raiders need to add another back to the room either in free agency or the draft. Here, they land a 1,000-yard rusher — against SEC competition — in Holyfield.
