Round 3 – Pick 1: D’Andre Walker, EDGE, Georgia | Pick 2: Erik McCoy, G/C, Texas A&M

D’Andre Walker would fill the void left after the trade of Dante Fowler. Adding Walker to the Jaguars pass rush, would give them more quality depth on the defensive line. Like Haskins, Walker could slowly be integrated into the playing rotation throughout the season. At Georgia, he made 112 tackles with 27.5 tackles for loss. He stands 6-3, weighing 245 pounds. Physically, he is very similar to Yannick Ngakoue.

Walker should be the only defensive player taken by the Jaguars in this draft. Offense must be addressed to improve from last seasons disappointing performance.

As for the other third-round selection, Erik McCoy fits the description of a Jaguars lineman. McCoy stands 6-4, weighing 315 pounds. Most of all, he is able to play more than one spot. McCoy played both center and guard at Texas A&M. He gives the Jaguars the option of moving Brandon Linder to right guard. McCoy could be the new right guard, perhaps replacing A.J. Cann.

Doug Marrone loves being able to move lineman to various positions when needed. Injuries hit the offensive line very hard last season. McCoy started every game the past three seasons.
