The NFL is one of the most unpredictable sports leagues. Who says these 10 crazy trades couldn’t happen in the 2019 offseason?

The NFL is and always has been one of the most unpredictable sports leagues. Whether it comes to star players being released or traded, shocking retirements by players seemingly in the prime of their respective careers, or the weekly on-field drama surrounding the sport, the NFL is nothing short of entertaining.

That’s why the 10 trades proposed below simply cannot be discredited. Sure, the teams involved may not line up perfectly, or the draft picks may be subject to change. But when it’s all said and done, nothing can be counted out.

We’ve seen some bizarre trades throughout NFL history — notably the Herschel Walker trade between the Dallas Cowboys and Minnesota Vikings — which is just one example for why anything is possible. Walker, a running back for the Cowboys in the late 1980s, was traded for a multitude of draft picks which helped set up the Cowboys’ dynasty of the 90s.

And, of course, who could forget the time when the New Orleans Saints pulled off the unthinkable, trading away their entire draft class to the Washington Redskins for the opportunity to select Ricky Williams in the 1999 NFL Draft. To quickly recap, the Redskins received the Saints’1999 first, third, fourth, fifth, sixth, and seventh round pick. They also received the Saints’ 2000 first and third round pick. The Saints received the Redskins’ 1999 fifth overall selection.

Both of the trades mentioned above were incredibly risky and downright irresponsible, but that’s what makes it fun, right? Well, maybe not for the teams on the wrong end of the stick, but you get the point.

Included in the following proposed 10 trades are promising stars, established veterans, and players simply looking to revive their careers. So, with everything else out of the way, let’s get to these 10 crazy trades that could actually happen in the 2019 NFL offseason.
