Here are three reasons why Nick Foles to the Jacksonville Jaguars makes perfect sense after the Philadelphia Eagles decided not to use the franchise tag on the former Super Bowl MVP.

While free agency is set to get underway in only a few weeks, one of the biggest stories this week involves the Philadelphia Eagles announcing they would not use the franchise tag on Nick Foles for the 2019 season, meaning the former Super Bowl MVP is set to become a free agent.

As much as the Eagles would love to keep Foles around to backup Carson Wentz, deep down they know this is the best move for the quarterback since his only chance of earning a starting job will be to play for another team.

Plus, since Foles has watched his stock skyrocket over the last two seasons, Philadelphia knows from a financial standpoint, it would be way too expensive to keep him around just to watch from the sidelines.

Now, the biggest question moving forward is where Foles could actually end up for the 2019 season since plenty of teams could use his talent under center, especially a team like the Jacksonville Jaguars after they took a major step back last year.

Way before this news even broke surrounding the decision by the Eagles with Foles, the Jaguars were already considered a strong potential landing spot for the quarterback since the team seems to be weighing all their options for the future at the position.

So with this in mind, here are three reasons to support Jacksonville being a strong landing spot for Foles now that he gets to choose his next team for the 2019 season following the news he won’t be playing under the franchise tag.
