Green Bay Packers: 3 Players to watch at 2019 NFL Combine
1. Greg Little, OT, Ole Miss
Coming into college, Greg Little was one of the highest-ranked guys in the class. He had a rare combination of size and strength, but he was still very athletic. However, during his time at Ole Miss, he never really put it all together. He looked very raw with a lot of development necessary. This weekend at the NFL Combine, he could easily move into becoming a late first-round prospect, or he could slump all the way to be a pick in the third or fourth round.
Green Bay has a need at the right guard spot that needs to be filled somehow this offseason. Head coach Matt LaFleur has stated that he wants to build from the inside to develop the running game because it can help ease a quarterback’s life, and it can help extend their career.
Little has been viewed as a tackle or guard. If they give him a year to develop at guard next to Bryan Bulaga, maybe that would be all the difference in the world for him.
His interviews this week are going to be really important for him when it comes to showing teams that he wants to work hard, and he wants to get better at the next level. He could look somewhat lackadaisical or uninterested at times. Green Bay wants their offensive linemen to fight on every play, and they have to fight for a long time when Aaron Rodgers extends the plays. If Little has a good week, Green Bay would love to add him to their offensive line room.
