40. Andre Dillard, OT, Washington State

Rounding out the top 40 is Washington State offensive tackle Andre Dillard. In a very deep tackle class, Dillard is still a fringe-first to early-second rounder due to the expected run on offensive lineman in April. On Wednesday, Dillard measured in at a towering 6-5 and 315 pounds. Dillard performed his way into the Senior Bowl, giving himself addition exposure and has gathered some steam heading into the NFL Combine.

39. David Montgomery, RB, Iowa State

Closely behind Jacobs in this running back class is David Montgomery from Iowa State. While he is not the combination of Ezekiel Elliott, Saquon Barkley and whomever else was on that ridiculous graphic, Montgomery is extremely talented as both a runner and a pass catcher out of the backfield. Let’s see how he compares to Jacobs and the other backs in this class.

38. Taylor Rapp, S, Washington

Jumping Thompson as the second safety in this class, Taylor Rapp is on the rise and the safety from Washington could see his name called in the first round at this pace. He will be a fun name to keep an eye on this weekend as he looks to inch closer to Adderley for the top safety in the draft. Rapp cracks the top 40 on the big board before the combine.

37. Jeffery Simmons, DL, Mississippi State

It just keeps piling on for Simmons, who was projected as a top-15 pick in the 2019 NFL Draft this season. First he was told that he could not come to the combine because of an incident when he was 18, then while training independently, Simmons tore his ACL. While we will have nothing to evaluate besides his tape between now and April, Simmons should still see his name called early in day-two.

36. Garrett Bradbury, OL, North Carolina State

Another hot name at the interior of the offensive line is Garrett Bradbury from NC State. With the potential to rise to being a day one pick, he currently sits at the middle-second to early third round. The converted tight end played both guard and center in college and was named as an All-American once in his career.

35. Drew Lock, QB, Missouri

With much separation from Haskins and Murray, Lock is the third quarterback to find a home on this big board at the 35th slot. He has the size that you would like to see in an NFL quarterback, hitting the 6-3, 228-pound mark. However, Lock regressed from his junior to senior year, and did not wow at the Senior Bowl like many had hoped. Still likely a first round pick, his selection is out of need more than merit.

34. Jaylon Ferguson, EDGE, Louisiana Tech

The record holder for most sacks in NCAA history, Jaylon Ferguson is currently a fringe first rounder. Unfortunately for him, he is banned from testing at the combine due to an incident when he was 18 years old. While this hurts his stock by proxy of other edge rushers having the ability to shine in Indianapolis, it is not the end of the world for Ferguson. He will have his work cut out for him at his pro day, needing to make up for drills and tests that he will not be able to do this weekend.

33. Joshua Jacobs, RB, Alabama

The first running back to crack the big board is Alabama’s Josh Jacobs. While others, including Bleacher Report’s Matt Miller are much higher on him, this writer is not. Understanding that his carries were split three ways, Jacobs’ production, outside of the playoffs, does not add up. While he is the first running back on the board, he still has much to prove.

32. Greg Little, OT, Ole Miss

The third Ole Miss player and fifth offensive tackle to hit the big board is Greg Little. Little is an interesting prospect as he is not talked about much, and has remained rather stagnant throughout the pre-draft process to this point while names like Ford and Cajuste continue to rise. Little looks to make a name for himself at the combine this weekend.

31. A.J. Brown, WR, Ole Miss

The second receiver from Ole Miss, joining teammate D.K. Metcalf, is A.J. Brown. His stock is on the rise, and he could hear his name called in the first round and shoot up big boards with a wowing performance in Indianapolis. Bleacher Report’s Matt Miller already considers Brown his WR1.
