NFL Draft Big Board 2019: Top 50 players ahead of NFL Combine testing
By Cory Kinnan
30. Trayvon Mullen, CB, Clemson
A fringe first rounder, Trayvon Mullen’s draft stock has been a roller coaster in his career at Clemson, starting high, then sinking, but then rebounding at the end of the season for the Tigers. It will be most interesting to see if he can hang with the pack of Williams, Murphy and Baker at the combine.
29. N’Keal Harry, WR, Arizona State
The fourth receiver on the big board is big man from Arizona State, N’Keal Harry. Likely a first round pick, Harry finished his career with the Sun Devils with back-to-back 1,000 yard seasons and scoring 22 total touchdowns in his career. Averaging over 13 yards per catch, Harry has the ability to separate in space. Keep an eye on his agility drills this weekend.
28. Nasir Adderley, S, Delaware
Looking to become the first FCS player drafted in the first round in a decade, Nasir Adderley is listed as the top rated safety here in a very slim class. Competing with Taylor Rapp and Deionte Thompson for that top spot, the former Blue Hen displayed his potential in 2018 and at the Senior Bowl and looks to ride that momentum into the combine.
27. Dalton Risner, OL, Kansas State
The offensive lineman from Kansas State is on the rise and has the flexibility to span across all positions on the line and that cannot be overlooked. A fringe first rounder at this point, he could be the first interior offensive lineman off of the board in April. The Wildcat measured at almost 6-5 and 312 pounds on Wednesday and has a lot to prove this weekend.
26. Christian Wilkins, DT, Clemson
The second Clemson defensive lineman to crack the list, Christian Wilkins enters the scheme right outside of the top 25. The future first round pick is entrenched in a deep defensive line class, but still may find his way into the top 15 of the draft. The two-time National Champion and team captain finished his four year career at Clemson with 16 sacks and 40 tackles for loss.
25. Kelvin Harmon, WR, North Carolina State
Ranking at the third receiver in this class, Kelvin Harmon of NC State rounds out the top 25 and marks the halfway point of this big board. The 6-3 receiver has the size and speed to make any quarterback happy. With the catch radius that Harmon possesses, he will be a target for the Ravens, Raiders, and Colts at the end of the first round.
24. Kyler Murray, QB, Oklahoma
It was only a matter of time before we got to the hottest name in the draft, Kyler Murray, found his way to the list. After officially committing to becoming an NFL quarterback, Murray is the second quarterback in the weak class to hit the big board in the top half of the class. While his size is a concern, he is possibly the first prospect to have a good combination of arm strength, accuracy, and speed. While he has questions to answer about his ability to read a defense outside of Big 12 defenses, the enigma that is Murray cracks the top 25.
23. Deandre Baker, CB, Georgia
The third ranked cornerback in this class, Deandre Baker cracks the top 25 and hits the big board as the 23rd ranked player in this 2018 draft class. Possibly the most technically sound defensive back in the class, Baker lacks the athleticism to pair with that technique. The Georgia Bulldog is still likely to be a first round pick and should be targeted by Oakland, Seattle, Cleveland and Pittsburgh.
22. Devin Bush, LB, Michigan
In a weak linebacker class, Devin Bush is only the second linebacker to make the list behind White. The gritty linebacker from Michigan has the attitude and athleticism that could make him a gem for any team at the end of the first/early in the second round. Expect Buch’s draft stock to rise after he partakes in the testing and on-the-field drills in Indianapolis.
21. Deebo Samuel, WR, South Carolina
The second receiver to crack the big board, Deebo Samuel barely misses cracking the top 20 and lands at 21. The 6-0 speedster has displayed a great ability to run crisp routes and create separation in space, making him a weapon to any team. A fringe first rounder/early Day 2 pick is smaller than the Metcalf/Harry/Harmon breed, but comping to D.J. Moore of the Carolina Panthers, will be a be a weapon at the next level and jumps the other big bodied receivers in this year’s draft class.
