Three prospects took complete advantage of their opportunity at the Combine and could see their stock on the rise for the 2019 NFL Draft.

As the offensive lineman were leaving the field at Lucas Oil Stadium, the running backs were stretching and prepping for their workouts. While the top name of the 2019 NFL Draft class, Josh Jacobs, did not partake in the testing portion of the combine, there were other clear winners in this year’s class, taking advantage of a limited field of participants.

In what was a disappointing turn of events, All-American and Memphis running back Darrell Henderson did not participate in any drills beyond the 40-yard dash, as with Justice Hill from Oklahoma State. It is yet to be seen whether or not that was a decision made by the prospects or if they tweaked something running the 40.

However, the absence of Jacobs, Henderson, and Hill gave the spot light to their other running back colleagues.

Through the 40-yard dash, vertical jump, bench press, and other testing, as well as the on-field drills, three running backs shined in Indianapolis on Friday. Three specific prospects hailing from Power 5 schools directly benefited from a limited field and may see their draft stock take an upward trend.

Not to disregard the work that Alex Barnes and Jordan Scarlett put in to improve their standing, these three prospects closed out the event with a bang.
