After proving he’s healthy after a devastating knee injury, Teddy Bridgewater is set for NFL Free Agency. Here are the 5 best landing spots for the veteran signal-caller.

Entering the 2014 NFL Draft, Louisville quarterback Teddy Bridgewater became a big topic of debate. Scouts were split on his prospects entering the NFL. Some felt he was the best quarterback and should be a top pick, whereas others weren’t sold as they thought he didn’t have the arm strength to succeed.

As is always the case with incoming rookies, Bridgewater was completely picked apart by quarterback-needy teams — and it wasn’t all about his arm strength or accuracy.

The most ridiculous factor that went into the decision to skip on Bridgewater came via the Cleveland Browns, who reportedly were turned off by his handshake of all things. That team looked foolish as they decided instead to go with Johnny Manziel, who is already out of the league, and just recently was barred from the CFL.

Another signal-caller taken ahead of Bridgewater was Blake Bortles, who appears to be on his way out with the Jacksonville Jaguars. It’s easy now to look back and say, Bridgewater, who was taken at No. 32 by the Minnesota Vikings, was clearly the best quarterback in that class. Unfortunately, he hasn’t lived up to his potential due to a devastating knee injury he suffered back in 2016.

After missing all of 2017, Bridgewater returned and signed with the New York Jets. He looked good in the preseason, but the Jets shipped him to the New Orleans Saints where he backed up Drew Brees. Again a free agent, Bridgewater is ready to again find a new home. Here are the five best destinations for the former first-round pick as he looks to take the next step towards becoming a starter again.
