Now that the NFL Combine is over, the Chicago Bears can better evaluate where to turn their attention on which players they should target.

After a few weeks of downtime, the NFL offseason is in full effect. The NFL Combine just finished and in less than two weeks the new year and free agency arrive. The Chicago Bears and other teams look to add players to help them improve.

The Bears are looking at a few spots to either add a starter or to add depth. The team doesn’t have a lot of money to shop. According to Spotrac, they have about $10 million in cap space. Of course, that doesn’t include the Kyle Long restructure or the Cody Parkey cut. Also, Khalil Mack could restructure his deal as well and Jordan Howard is likely to be traded to give the Bears more money.

Making all these moves puts the Bears at $23.7 million in cap space. That should be good to hit the market and make some sensible choices. Last offseason they went on a spending spree. This offseason, however, they need to go bargain shopping.

Last offseason was an important one. It probably was the most important one in general manager Ryan Pace’s tenure. He hit it out of the park, filling many of the holes the team had. He signed Allen Robinson, Taylor Gabriel, Trey Burton and Aaron Lynch. He also re-signed Kyle Fuller and Prince Amukamara and made the deal of the year to acquire Mack.

Moreover, Pace also used a tremendous draft to round out the roster, getting Roquan Smith, James Daniels, Anthony Miller and Bilal Nichols.

Pace doesn’t need to do as many moves but needs to make some important ones. He needs to decide on cornerback Bryce Callahan and Adrian Amos. Additionally, he needs to find a taker for Jordan Howard, who just doesn’t fit in head coach Matt Nagy’s system, and receive some much-needed draft picks (and a $2 million cap space relief). He did a great job to turn the team around but now he needs to make moves to help take the team to another level.

With free agency about to hit, here are some players the Bears should target:
