13. Miami Dolphins: Rashan Gary, DL, Michigan

New head coach Brian Flores is going to have his work cut out for him with the Miami Dolphins. Their roster really isn’t terrible, but the culture is beyond questionable. They won 10 games in 2016, but that’s proven to be the anomaly. Over the past decade, that was the Dolphins only winning campaign and they’re coming off a 7-9 stretch which was preceded by a 6-10 mark in 2017.

Former head coach Adam Gase did a bad job of building the morale and seemed to think casting off players was the answer. His first attempt at this was to send Jay Ajayi to the Philadelphia Eagles in an effort to send a message to his team, but that pretty much backfired when the Dolphins stunk it up and Ajayi went on to win a Super Bowl.

Unfortunately for Flores, Ajayi wasn’t the only talented player Gase dismissed. Also gone is Jarvis Landry, Ndamukong Suh, and Mike Pouncey. While that’s a good bit of talent, they can’t dwell on it but instead, just need to begin to restock their shelf. That begins here with the selection of Michigan defensive lineman Rashan Gary.

While playing for the Wolverines, Gary was used as both a defensive end and tackle. He can do either at the next level but could be a bigger factor as an interior rusher. Wherever they end up playing him, Gary is a talented player who is still improving as a defender.
