27. Oakland Raiders (via Dallas Cowboys): Nasir Adderley, DB, Delaware

A Philadelphia-native, Nasir Adderley is being connected to the Eagles by many draft experts. However, it was his inconsistent tape and the question as to whether he will play corner or safety at the next level that led Philly to go after DeAndre Baker instead. That leaves Adderley on the board for just a couple more picks as the Oakland Raiders use their third pick in the opening round on the Deleware product.

For the Raiders, the question will center around where he plays. Reading what Lance Zierlein of NFL.com says about him, it would seem like cornerback may be the best bet.

"“Defensive back with good size and length, but tape that is filled with inconsistencies over the last couple of years. Adderley’s issues revolve around inconsistencies with recognition and response as a safety, which is why teams might opt to move him back to cornerback where his size, athletic ability and ball skills will be coveted.” — Zierlein, NFL.com"

Wherever Oakland ends up lining him up, Adderley is a big-time athlete with great speed and range. He’s got solid hands as well and could turn the ball over a lot as a pro.
