41. Denver Broncos: Josh Oliver, TE, San Jose State

The Broncos are making no secret of their desire to add a pass-catching tight end in this draft. There’s a shot they could do that in the first but they went corner and end up with Josh Oliver here. It’s not a bad consolation prize as Oliver is a talented player who will only get better with NFL coaching.

42. Cincinnati Bengals: Zach Allen, DT, Boston College

The Bengals add another strong defensive lineman to their roster as they bulk up at a position of strength. Zach Allen is one of the most well-rounded defensive linemen in the draft who can play as a tackle or a strong-side defensive end. He excels in run support, but is no slouch with the pass rush either.

43. Detroit Lions: Marquise Brown, WR, Oklahoma

An injury kept Oklahoma’s Marquise Brown from competing in the Scouting Combine but he could still wow at his pro day. Brown was a highlight waiting to happen for the Sooners and hopes to be an early pick despite being undersized. The Lions take him here with the expectation that he can replace what they lost in Golden Tate.

44. Green Bay Packers: Deebo Samuel, WR, South Carolina

The Packers need to get younger on offense which leads them to go for a wide receiver here. Deebo Samuel didn’t run as fast as expected at the combine but his route running is incredible and he will fit nicely as a slot option to eventually replace Randall Cobb.
