3. New York Jets: Jonah Williams, OT, Alabama

There will be plenty of people who think that Jonah Williams shouldn’t be in the top-10 because of his struggles against Clemson during the NCAA Championship game, but that’s not fair. He did have a bad outing, but so did the team as a whole.

Even with that game, there’s plenty of good film on Williams and he was considered the top pick at his position — and even the second-best overall — by CBS Sports’ Chris Trapasso.

"Alabama’s Jonah Williams (currently my No. 2 overall prospect) has started on the edge for the Crimson Tide since his freshman season. He’s the opposite of a project, a fundamentally sound technician with plus athleticism and developed strength to deal with every type of pass-rusher. While Nick Saban’s club is known for its running prowess, its offense utilizes a plethora of spread concepts."

For the New York Jets, they choose at No. 3 for the second season in a row and once again, they select an offensive cornerstone. Sam Darnold out of USC was the choice last year and this time they get a left tackle to block for their franchise quarterback. They’ll need more offensive weapons to get the most out of Darnold, but keeping him clean is a great start toward fixing their offense.
