The year is 2019, and Tevin Coleman is set to hit NFL free agency after four years in Atlanta. Who are potential suitors to land the running back?

Tevin Coleman remains one of the more intriguing prospects entering 2019 NFL free agency as he is only 25 years old and has spent the last four seasons with the Atlanta Falcons playing second fiddle to Devonte Freeman; it is time to free Coleman and let the man run wild.

Although the four year back out of the University of Indiana was used predominantly as a third down and change-of-pace back by the Falcons, Coleman has still managed to post some impressive figures throughout his career. Coleman has yet to hit the 1,000 yard mark rushing on limited opportunities, but in 2018, he did eclipse that figure in total yards.

In an injury riddles year for Freeman, Coleman started 14 games for the Falcons in 2018 and finished with 800 yards rushing, 276 yards receiving and nine total touchdowns. If given the opportunity to be a full-time started at the next stop in his career, Coleman could surpass the 1,000-yard mark on the ground and possibly hit close to 1,400 total yards, hitting the end zone in the double-digits.

While Coleman is still young and lightly used, the running back market remains thin as Le’Veon Bell has not been able to receive a long term deal, and other backs such as Duke Johnson in Cleveland only received about an average of $5 million annually on his extension; expect Coleman to be in the market around that same range.
