The Browns have a starting offensive line in tow, but they are going to face some decisions no later than next year when it comes to who they’ll be able to keep, so they’re gonna need to find players to take over and the given the hire of offensive line coach James Campen, it’s likely to be in the draft. Campen’s history in Green Bay has a number of mid-round successes such as David Bakhtiari, now Browns center J.C. Tretter and Corey Linsley.

Oli Udoh is a player of massive size that has excellent flexibility and has changed his body over the past few years. At the combine, Udoh was outstanding in terms of his speed with more than enough explosion and flexibility to be successful in the NFL.

His experience is only on the right side, but he’s got a lot of good habits that suggest he could be effective sooner than later. His first step in pass protection is efficient and most of his problems tend to come from not having a real plan. Some of that could be due to the level of competition he’s faced to this point, but at a venue like the Senior Bowl, he adapted quickly and improved throughout the week.

For a coach like Campen and an organization that has a track record both in Cleveland and in previous stops of understanding what athletic traits offensive linemen need to succeed, Udoh might be the exact type of prospect they target. He can hopefully develop and in a year or two, ultimately take over the right tackle spot, giving them more size and strength at that spot while still being able to protect Baker Mayfield.

Best Option Not Taken: David Long, LB West Virginia
