With the 2019 NFL Scouting Combine behind us, it’s time to take another guess at how the Dallas Cowboys will fill holes with this 7-round mock draft

Every season, millions of fans tune in to see the NFL Scouting Combine and once again we were all focused on the 2019 event that recently wrapped up in Indianapolis. While it’s fun to see all the different prospects compete in various events, it’s also telling for fans as they can see which players their teams are spending the most time with.

For the Dallas Cowboys, that usually rings true as they have no problem spending time talking with the players who they think will be able to wear the star and help them achieve their ultimate goal. And this season, it was easy to see where Dallas felt they needed help.

Despite recently bringing Jason Witten back from retirement, the Cowboys met with a couple of tight ends during the combine, including Utah State’s Dax Raymond. This has to be comforting for fans who worried that re-signing the aged veteran might prevent Dallas from adding to a position of major need.

Another position of need seems to be on their minds as the Cowboys met with Juan Thornhill, Jonathan Abram, and Chauncey Gardner-Johnson — all who play safety. For years, this position has been an issue for them so to see them focusing on it is understandable.

Dallas also met with a couple of defensive linemen which comes in the wake of Randy Gregory and David Irving’s indefinite suspensions. As for Irving, the team was looking to move on from him anyway as he was a free agent and they seemed ready to go in a different direction following a season of drama last year.

With all that information now known — as well as the workouts from the combine in the books — we take another guess at how all seven rounds will work out for the Boys in this 2019 mock draft.
