1. Chris Conley, WR

Chris Conley is the most intriguing player on this list. What makes a receiver who had just 334 yards last season so intriguing? The tools.

A tall, long receiver, Conley possesses blazing speed, running a 4.35-second 40-yard dash at the 2015 NFL Scouting Combine. He became the odd man out in Kansas City’s powerful offense, being targeted just 52 times last season.

The lack of production is mildly concerning, especially in Andy Reid’s offense, but there simply aren’t many 26-year old receivers with 4.3 speed and good hands on the open market. Factor in his excellent blocking ability and Conley could be a steal.

The Jaguars’ don’t know what they’ll be getting from Marqise Lee coming off a major knee injury, 2017 undrafted free agent darling Keelan Cole struggled with drops last season and D.J. Chark struggled to get on the field in 2018. Couple this with Donte Moncrief hitting the open market, and the Jaguars have more questions than answers at receiver.

Dede Westbrook was a pleasent surprise last season, but he cannot do it alone. If Caldwell and Coughlin are willing to take a flyer on Conley, new offensive coordinator John Defilippo, who is lauded for his passing game expertise, may be just the coach to unlock his full potential. This is a low risk, possible high reward move for the Jaguars.
