Three affordable free agent options the Kansas City Chiefs can sign to take their roster to the next level.

The Kansas City Chiefs will undoubtedly be one of the most interesting teams to watch this off season. Led by MVP quarterback Patrick Mahomes, the Chiefs are absolutely loaded with talent on the offensive side of the ball. They will be favorites to have the best offensive in the league next season no matter what happens this off season. That being said, they have obvious needs on defense that simply must be addressed if they expect to make a Super Bowl run in 2019.

Last season, the Chiefs allowed 26.3 points per game, the ninth most in the entire NFL. They could not consistently stop anybody on the ground (132.1 rushing yards allowed per game, sixth most in the league) or through the air (273.4 passing yards allowed per game, second most in the league).

The hiring of defensive coordinator Steve Spagnuolo should help, but the Chiefs need to address their lack of talent on that side of the ball as well.
